Incubation

Some of our games start as partnerships: we work closely with creators and teams, invest operational and design muscle, and when it makes sense for everyone, move toward full acquisition. This page explains how that path works and how to start a conversation.

What incubation means here

We use incubation for Roblox experiences we do not own on day one. You keep authorship of the idea and community; we bring production discipline, systems thinking, live-ops muscle, and a quality bar we are willing to put our name next to. The goal is a game that can grow without collapsing the moment players optimize the loop, and a relationship that can mature into something permanent if both sides want that.

This is not a generic publishing label. It is a structured phase: shared roadmap, shared risk, and clear checkpoints so nobody is guessing whether we are heading toward a deeper partnership or a clean handoff.

How the process usually works

  1. Intro and fit

    You share what exists today (build, audience, team), what you want help with, and what "success" looks like in the next six to twelve months. We ask hard questions about retention, economy, and whether the core loop survives real traffic.

  2. Working agreement

    If there is mutual interest, we align on scope: where we embed (engineering, design, live ops, production), how decisions get made, and how milestones map to player outcomes, not just asset delivery.

  3. Ship and learn in public

    We bias toward getting representative builds in front of players early, reading behavior honestly, and adjusting structure before we polish surface. That pattern is how we decide what is worth scaling.

  4. Acquisition when it makes sense

    When a title has proven it deserves a long horizon and both sides want the same future, we can move toward full acquisition. Until then, incubation stays partnership-first: no vague "someday maybe" without terms.

What we look for

  • A loop with a point of view. We care less about genre labels than about whether the game still asks questions after players understand the rules.
  • Adults in the room. Clear ownership, honest communication, and willingness to change the design when data says so.
  • Room for systems depth. If the plan is only more cosmetics on a solved graph, we are probably not the right partner.
